DAYCARE HOURS: Full Day - 7 am to 6 pm (drop-off between 7 - 9 am for full day) RESERVATION POLICY: Half Day - 7 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. or 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Pick up is by 6 p.m. when daycare closes. A reservation is required for all dogs to attend dog daycare. We do not offer same day drop-off services except with temperament testing. DROP-OFF/PICK-UP: Owner must provide written authorization to allow anyone else to pick up their dog, and people who are authorized by you will be required to present a valid picture identification to ensure the safety of your dog. Drop-off & pick-up of your pet must occur during our open-to-the-public hours posted on our web site - NO early drop-offs or late pick-ups are allowed. Dogs not picked up by closing time will be boarded overnight, and overnight fees will apply. BEHAVIOR: All dogs must be non-aggressive and non-food or toy protective. Owners will certify their dogs have not harmed or shown any aggressive or threatening behavior towards any person or any other dogs. Please remember that your pet will be spending time with other pets and the safety and health of the pack is our main concern. In order to maintain a safe play environment for the dogs, any dog that misbehaves will be given a time-out from the daycare area. Because excessive barking can escalate the intensity of the pack dynamic, we reserve the right to use a muzzle or citronella collar if we feel it is necessary. HEALTH: Doggy daycare is for happy, healthy dogs that are neutered or spayed. Doggy daycare is not recommended for dogs that have medical conditions such as diabetes, seizures, heart murmurs or any other medical condition that may be aggravated by excitement or rough play. CYPRESS FALLS PET RESORT assumes no responsibility for the aggravation of any medical disorders caused by your dog's participation in doggy daycare. All dogs must not have fleas (we strongly recommend that your dog receive some form of monthly topical flea treatment plan - please consult your veterinarian for more information about flea treatment options). If any pet if found to have fleas at check-in time, CYPRESS FALLS PET RESORT will treat the pet with a Capstar pill, (a flea control that kills adult fleas starting within 30 minutes) and owner will be responsible for the cost of treatment. Owners will certify that their dogs are in good health and have not been ill with a communicable condition in the last 30 days. Dogs that have been ill with a communicable condition in the last 30 days will require a veterinary certificate of health to be admitted or re-admitted. Any dog with diarrhea will be removed from daycare and will not be able to socialize with the other dogs until this problem has been resolved. Dogs with excessive diarrhea may be required to have a negative fecal and/or giardia test before being re-admitted to daycare. INTERVIEW/EVALUATION: Your dog must complete a one-time screening/temperament test with a CYPRESS FALLS PET RESORT staff member to ensure that your dog's temperament is a good fit for our other furry guests (safety is our top priority and aggressive or unfriendly behavior can be dangerous for both dogs and staff members alike). Temperament test MUST be scheduled with us in advance - please call ahead for availability (281-378-7170). The test will take about 20 minutes. There is a non-refundable $30 Application & Evaluation fee per dog which must be paid for in advance when scheduling your temperament test. This fee is forfeited if you do not provide us 48 hours notice of cancellation and does not show up for your scheduled temperament test time. Please note that we MUST have proof of current vaccinations and a negative fecal float test (within the last 90 days) in order to conduct the temperament test with your dog. MEDICATION: We are happy to give oral or topical medication to your dog but it requires the following: all medications must be in their original container and must include your dog's name, the name and strength of the medication, and directions including dosage, number of times per day, how it is to be given, illness to be treated, areas to be treated, etc. COLLARS: No metal, pinch, choke, beaded or studded collars will be allowed in the daycare area. Collars are optional. RISKS: Owners understand that supervised off-leash socialization and interaction between our guests is encouraged. Owners also acknowledge that dogs are unpredictable in behavior and are aware of the risks involved in such play and assume all risks. While we provide the best care possible, there can be a risk of injury to a dog in daycare (i.e.: worn pads, twisted ankles, sore muscles, etc.) Dogs may come back dirty or wet at times. AGE REQUIREMENTS: Puppies as young as 4 months of age are welcome to join our puppy daycare group provided our temperament test determines they are emotionally ready to join the group and are current on all puppy vaccines. SPAY/NEUTER: All dogs must be spayed or neutered by 6 months of age in order to socialize with the other dogs in daycare. VACCINATION POLICY: All canine guests must have up-to-date vaccinations and annual negative fecal tests in order to be a member of our pack. Owners must submit written proof of current DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza and Parvo virus), Bordetella (kennel cough) and Rabies vaccinations as well as an annual negative fecal float test. For new clients, the fecal test must be conducted within the last 90 days prior to your temperament test. We do not except titer tests provided that they are documented by your veterinarian and are updated annually. You can either bring us a copy of your dog's vaccination and fecal records or simply have your Vet fax the records directly to us at 281-378-7177. To the best of my knowledge, the information that I have provided on this form is both accurate and true.
